Guidelines for Oral Presentation

The HBP Surgery week 2018 Committee would like to thank you for your participation. Here are a few tips to make sure your experience is successful. Please read carefully, and contact us if you have any questions.

1.Presentation Time

Session Type Allocated time
Senior Professor Lecture 30 min.
Presidential Lecture, Invited Lecture 20 min.
Symposium 15 or 20 min.
KAHPBS Research Fund Study 5 or 10 min.
Nurse Program 10-15 min.
Plenary 10 min. presentation + 2 min for Q&A
Best Oral 8 min. presentation + 2 min for Q&A
Oral / Video Presentation 5 min. presentation + 2 min for Q&A
  • -Please be sure to keep to the allocated presentation time in consideration of the next speaker.
  • -Arrive at your session room at least 20 minutes before the session begins.
  • -You will be responsible for controlling/advancing your presentation slides.

2. Presentation File Format

  • -Microsoft Office PowerPoint (PPT) 2010 or PDF under 35 MB size (4:3 aspect ratio)
  • -Use standard fonts such as Times New Roman, Arial or Tahoma.
  • -Images should be in JPG, GIF or BMP format.
  • -Video Presenter: Video files should be in WMW, MPEG or AVI format.

3. Equipment

  • -Session rooms will be equipped with a computer running Windows (no Mac), a projector and microphone.
  • -Podiums will be equipped with a monitor, microphone, mouse and smart pointer (no keyboard).
  • -We DO NOT recommend using your own laptop computer for your presentation to avoid problems with computer-projector compatibility.
  • **Apple Macintosh / Apple Keynote / Personal Laptop Users: Please notify the Secretariat via e-mail by March 21 and bring your Mini Display Port-VGA Adapter.

4. File Submission

  • -Please bring your presentation files on a USB memory stick to the Preview Room at least 2 hours before your scheduled presentation.
  • -Presenters are requested to check their presentation files to ensure they work correctly in our system.

Guidelines for Poster Presentation

The HBP Surgery week 2018 Committee would like to thank you for your participation. Here are a few tips to make sure your experience is successful. Please read carefully, and contact us if you have any questions.

1. Poster Presentation Schedule

  • -Allocated Presentation Time: Total 7mins (including Q&A 3mins)
  • -Poster sessions will be held in Poster / Exhibition Hall and lobby(2F)
  • -Please stand in front of your poster before the session begins.
  • -Presenting authors should be present beside the posters during the assigned sessions.
  • -Poster presentation authors will be notified the details of their presentation time individually.

2. Poster Size

  • -Poster size should be A0 (1189mm x 841mm)
  • -Poster panels are 2,350mm in height by 950mm in width
  • -The poster title, author(s)'s name(s) and affiliation(s) should appear at the top.

3. Set-up

  • -A poster panel and presentation number (Code No.) will be provided for each poster.
  • -Mounting and Removal must be done during the assigned schedule only. If not, it will be removed by staff without notice and the organizing committee will not take responsibility for any damages or losses.
  • -Adhesive tape will be available to attach your poster to the panel. (Tape will be provided in the poster session room)
* Poster Printing Service
  • We are pleased to be able to facilitate an option for local poster printing and delivery through THE FOSTER.
    You can have your posters printed in Busan, Korea and you can pick them up directly at the conference venue.

4. Best Presentation (Poster) Award

  • -One poster from each poster presentation groups will be awarded the Best Poster Award in consideration of the appearance of the poster, quality of the research, knowledge and clarity of the presentation.
  • -The evaluation will be conducted by the Chairs during poster discussion hours.
  • -Awardees will receive certificates from the congress during the Award Ceremony (March 31, 18:00-18:20).

Guidelines for Video Exhibition

The HBP Surgery week 2018 Committee would like to thank you for your participation. To provide a valuable and useful opportunity for participants, we are planning to run a special program called “Video Exhibition Session” with videos to be shown in a 2F lobby.

  • -Submission Deadline: March 20, 2018
  • -It will be shown constantly all day for participants. But the presentation is not mandatory to have a presentation.
* File Submission for Video Exhibition
  • -Please submit your video for the Video Exhibition via email by March 20, 2018.
  • -Video will be shown automatically without voice.
  • -The length of the video is 5 min.(Maximum 10 min.)
  • -Video files should be in WMW, MPEG or AVI format.
  • -The file name should be “Abstract Number Lecture Title.”
    For example) ABST0001_ Laparoscopy-assisted total gastrectomy (LATG)
